Babylon 5 was one of my favorite tv shows, and one of the best sci-fi series I have ever seen. B5 presents a universe that is not nearly so ideal and happy as on Star Trek TNG, and the show continues to do things I just don't expect. For the first season and a half I was a fairly regular watcher of the show, but now the writers have rewarded the faithful. The 2nd and 3rd seasons have turned me into a religious viewer. B5 has many episodal plot lines, but there are also various long running plot lines, the details of which can pop in at any time, which always keep me on my toes.

G'kar and Lando are by far my favorite characters on Babylon 5. Both the Narn (G'kar) and Centauri (Lando) are very proud peoples and both honorable in their own ways. However, they are also blood enemies. Ironically the first time G'kar ever put aside his hatred long enough to begin to gain some respect for Lando this was the same time Lando made his first deal with Mr. Morden (at right) and started the Narn-Centauri War. Though never personally partaking, Lando has been involved in some of the most atrocious acts of recent times, including making deals with Mr. Morden to obliterate the Narns and observing the Centauri forces bombarding the Narn homeworld with mass drivers. In most of these cases it has been clear that he has some regret or guilt about what he has done, but these feelings have never seemed to hold him back.
